In September 2026, Alexia and Mirko got married at Château de la Cheylane in La Londe-les-Maures, in the South of France, surrounded by 150 guests, half of them from Italy. Two families, two languages, one big celebration, and a true dolce vita feeling all day long.

From La Capte town hall to the château, in a Méhari
The day began with the civil ceremony at La Capte town hall in Hyères. Then the newlyweds drove to the château in a vintage Citroën Méhari, hair in the wind: it doesn’t get more Provençal than that! At the venue, yellow and lemons set the tone, from the welcome sign to the tables.

A celebrant ceremony in two languages
The celebrant ceremony, held under a white gazebo among the pine trees, was bilingual, in French and Italian, so that everyone could take in every word. When it came to emotions, Mirko was the first to break. Deeply moved, he couldn’t take his eyes off Alexia. She was wholehearted and natural, radiant, a true girl from Marseille, laughing and crying at the same time. Two personalities I loved photographing.

Dinner under the festoon lights
Dinner was served outdoors, under festoon lights that came on as night fell. The couple made their entrance to “Volare”, with every guest singing along. The kind of entrance that gets everyone on their feet in ten seconds, and we love it!

Music between Provence and Italy
All evening, the music blended Italian classics with a Gipsy Kings-style flamenco touch. It was the perfect reflection of this wedding: warm, lively and wonderfully festive.

Getting married at Château de la Cheylane
Set among vineyards and the Maures hills, a few minutes from the sea, Château de la Cheylane is a beautiful setting for a large outdoor wedding and dinner under the stars. Planning a French-Italian wedding, or a destination wedding with guests from abroad in the South of France? I’d love to hear about it.
